Remodeling the Den

After 10 years of my hubby bugging me, I reluctantly agreed to let him tear down the wall between our den and living room. I so wish that I had let him do this years ago! I really thought that it would decrease the value of our home. But, after talking to a real estate appraiser, I changed my mind. "Never eliminate a bedroom or bath", she said. Thus, happy hubby began the remodeling immediately.

Not only did he remove the wall, he also removed my old fireplace which he replaced with wood and granite. I love my fireplace now! I really hated the old one. It was made of the same brick as the outside of the house (U-G-L-Y). As an added bonus, he replaced my carpet with new wood floors. Wow! I never knew floors could look so good.

Guess what, now I'm bugging him to remodel the bathrooms. I have a feeling that may happen in about 10 years. I'll keep you posted.
